Hi!

Welcome to my hodgepodge of a blog.  Enjoy!

This isn't going to be perfect.

This isn't going to be perfect.

So I am going out on a limb here, people. I've been contemplating many-a-day here whether to hit the publish button or not... so, here it is, on my 28th birthday, when this Squarespace trial is up...my first blog.

This has been a new season for me. I quit my job of 5 years that I LOVED, to stay home with my babies that I LOVE. Leaving my "adult" job, I am still figuring out what life without that means. I am first and foremost a follower of Jesus, a wife, mom, daughter, sister, friend, lover of design, of creative & strategic thinking, of people, of FOOD, of the hard questions, of intentionality. I think I have struggled with trying to just do calligraphy, or just do design, or just do Beautycounter or just do the mom thing when really, I don't just do one of those things but I do them all. God created me that way, with different passions and loves. I don't need to fit into the box of one title or be the next Joanna Gaines (although that really is my dream life) I am me, and that comes with a lot of stuff, but that's okay!

So here I go. I am sharing with you my faith that defines all the rest. I'm sharing with you my marriage and my kids. I am sharing with you stuff I love, stuff I read, the parenting knowledge I am storing up from every which way and resource (because #toddler) stuff I do, stuff I put on my face & put in my mouth... I guess I am just sharing with you the chaos which defines my life.

I know, I know... my grammar isn't perfect, and neither are my photos or my thoughts... but God keeps telling me, 'Kelly...stop caring about perfection and just DO IT.'

As I write this I know that I am probably the only one who will read this other than my mother who thinks anything I do is awesome even though 99% of the time it is not, so hi Mom! To start things off with a bang... here is a poorly lit, un-staged photo of my current writing spot, those stylish hot pink scissors, lit with a candle (thanks Athalie) and fueled by bills and La Croix.

Enjoy.
